Thrive does not tolerate any form of sexual harassment and is committed to taking all necessary steps to ensure that its employees are not subjected to any form of harassment.

Sexual harassment at work place or in the course of work duties will be considered a grave misconduct which will be treated strictly and will be punished under the Policy and all the applicable laws, along with imposition of corrective measures and disciplinary actions against the offender.

This Prevention of Sexual Harassment Policy (“POSH Policy” or “Policy”) is aimed to provide guidelines to prevent and/or redress sexual harassment which may arise at or relate to the workplace. This POSH Policy has been framed in accordance with the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Rules, 2013 and the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Rules, 2013 (collectively, the “POSH Act”).

🗺️ Scope

This POSH Policy applies to all workforce , whether employed on a regular, temporary, ad hoc or daily wage basis, either directly or through an agent, including a contractor, with or without the knowledge of the Company, whether for remuneration or not, or working on a voluntary basis or otherwise, whether the terms of employment are express or implied and includes the management representative, a co-worker, probationer, contract worker, trainee, apprentice or called by any other such name (each, a “Employee”) of the Company including all subsidiaries and affiliated companies at their workplace or at client sites. The Company will not tolerate sexual harassment if engaged in by clients or by suppliers or any other business associates. The workplace includes:

  1. All offices or other premises where the Company’s business is conducted including transportation provided by the Company for undertaking such journey.
  2. All company-related activities performed at any other site away from the Company’s premises.
  3. Any social, business or other functions where the conduct or comments may have an adverse impact on the workplace or workplace relations.
  4. Any digital platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype, Cisco Webex etc., or any official page of the Company on any social media platform such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter etc., utilized by any Employee, in the course of their employment or engagement with the Company.

📝 Definition of Sexual Harassment

Sexual harassment may be one incident or a series of incidents involving unsolicited and unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favours, or any other verbal or physical conduct of sexual nature. Sexual Harassment at the workplace includes:

  1. unwelcome sexual advances (verbal, written or physical)
  2. demand or request for sexual favours
  3. any other type of sexually-oriented conduct
  4. verbal or non-verbal conduct including abuse or ‘joking’ that is sexual-oriented
  5. making sexually coloured remarks
  6. showing pornography
  7. any conduct that has the purpose or the effect of interfering with an individual’s work performance or creating an intimidating, hostile or offensive work environment and/or submission to such conduct is either an explicit or implicit term or condition of employment and /or submission or rejection of the conduct is used as a basis for making employment-related decisions. Inappropriate conduct could also be in the form of a joke, a prank or even a compliment. These gestures also lead to harassment although the intention of the individual might not be to offend the other person.
