“Objectives and key results are the yin and yang of goal setting.” - John Doerr, Measure what matters
Objectives & Key Results or OKRs as it is most popularly known is a management framework that helps an organisation focus its efforts towards a common goal.
At Thrive, OKRs are a way of defining and achieving our best possible outcomes as teams and as an organisation. We ensure that our process is:
The process of setting OKRs at Thrive is done every quarter.
Each team is encouraged to set 3 to 5 objectives for the quarter, and each objective should have a maximum of 4 key results.
To create successful OKRs at Thrive, we continuously work on them, discuss them, check the progress and plan what ideas our teams could execute. The best way we do this is by having weekly team OKR check-ins. Weekly check-ins help us track accomplishments and upcoming plans. Our teams ensure that progress is happening by looking at accomplished plans, the results of these plans, and the lessons learned when moving forward.
